“Dear Members,
As we enter this festive season, it is time to reflect on a very enjoyable 2022.
The year started early with championship kicking off in football. It ended up with our juniors as County Champions and well done to all, as it is silverware that was very welcome to the club.
Our Juvenile section continued to blossom in 2022. The increase in young players playing sport and enjoying themselves demonstrates the values of our club.
Congratulations to all our Mathuna Underage players on a great year. They took part in blitz’s and challenge matches with great success. Keep up the great work. Thanks a million to all the mentors for your efforts during the year. The club’s future players are in good hands.
Congratulations also to all the Ahan Gaels teams who competed so successfully during the year making numerous finals. Some were victorious, others not, but all brought great pride to both Ahan Gaels and Mathunas. The outlook for the future is great. A huge thank you to all the mentors for their great work through the year.
Finally, the Club Committee and myself would like to thank you for your valued support during 2022, especially to our sponsors who keep giving regardless of the times. We wish you and your families a safe and peaceful Christmas. Enjoy the break and the extra treats over the holidays.
